This session covers two crucial aspects of education in Bhutan, focusing on both performance management systems and inclusive education. The first part examines the Bhutanese school performance management system through the lens of practice architectures, analyzing how institutional structures, policies, and teaching practices shape educational outcomes. It looks at the strengths and challenges of current performance management approaches and how they can be improved. The second part addresses the need for accessible education for differently-abled children, exploring strategies and innovations that ensure equal educational opportunities for all students, regardless of ability. Together, these discussions highlight the ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of education and foster inclusivity in Bhutan’s school system.
